| We proudly present this region's exceptional 40' heavy weather raised pilothouse trawler yacht, the Eagle 40. This exquisite design emanates common sense practicality within an ambiance of proper nautical appearance. Based upon proven Pacific Northwest trawler design qualities, the modern semi displacement hand-laid fiberglass hull offers superb seakeeping, responsive handling, security, and stability at rest or in the roughest of seaways.
Once aboard, the sense of seagoing quality and perception of fine hand craftsmanship is more than skin deep. Extensive use of matched grain teak joinery, teak and holly soles, and attention to traditional nautical detailing highlight an interior offering generous headroom throughout. Our Double Cabin Forward model includes a spacious double cabin forward, and guest room aft with over/under berths. Each has easy head access that includes a walk-in shower.
Some prefer our Single Cabin Forward model. It's ideal for cruising couples. Features include a luxurious queen-sized island berth accessible from both sides, voluminous storage capacity, and adjacent head with separate stall shower. A main focal point is the spacious pilothouse rivaling those on much larger vessels. Besides a large chart table, there's a full-size settee with table and optional day head or hanging locker to starboard. Aft is a light and airy salon with generous dinette and hi-lo table, starboard settee, full-featured U-shaped galley, ample storage, and easy engine room access. #Superb visibility and safe, easy access to all areas of the boat are keynotes whether handling the vessel from the pilothouse or upper steering station, featuring centerline helm. Wide walk-around decks with pilothouse access port and starboard include the security of raised bulwarks all around as does the deep, roomy aft cockpit with available mast and boom.
With standard power, the Eagle 40 cruises easily at 8 knots. Other single engine options allow speeds in excess of 12 knots. While single engines are emphasized for their efficiency, economy and suitability to rugged conditions, twin engines are also available, including a modified keel for increased speeds when required. For those who take cruising seriously, we think you'll agree that few vessels can measure up to the Eagle 40 in its size or price range.
